Solve the case: Urinary frequency and recurrent urinary tract symptoms
Lower urinary tract symptoms may be incorrectly ascribed to age-related changes and urinary tract infection. Incorrect diagnosis can lead to a person's symptoms remaining unaddressed and quality of life impaired. This article uses a case-history approach to examine the possible causes of urgency, frequency and recurrent urinary tract infection in an older woman. It outlines how accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment transformed the life of a 93-year-old woman.
